After a full day in good sunlight, GlowPetal will glow for up to 8 hours — easily through the evening and often into the early morning. Runtime is shorter after cloudy or short winter days, as the battery simply stores less charge.

Absolutely. GlowPetal is IP65 weatherproof, designed to live outdoors year-round through rain, frost and sun. We only recommend bringing it inside during extreme storms or prolonged sub-zero spells to protect the battery.

Yes — a built-in light sensor switches it on automatically when it gets dark and off again at sunrise. Just flip the on/off switch to "on" once when it arrives, place it outside, and it takes care of itself every night.

The effect is most dramatic when the lantern sits close to a surface — a wall, fence, paving or table top within roughly a metre. The closer it is, the sharper and brighter the flower shadows. It's a soft, decorative accent light rather than a floodlight.

The panel still charges in daylight even when it's overcast, just more slowly — so you'll get a shorter run time that night. For the best results, place it where it catches the most direct sun during the day.
